Absolutely amazing! We had goosebumps the entire performance. The lead violist was gregarious, fun to watch and listen to and extremely talented, as was the flutist. The entire ensemble was so talented and you could tell the enjoyed doing what they do. We were fortunate to have the best seats in the house front row on the aisle- book early to get that! But every seat is good as you are there to hear. Highlight of our 3 City, 9 day trip by far.
We were jet lagged but so glad we dragged ourselves there. A beautiful church, stunning. The concert was fantastic, well worth the effort a truly must see if you love churches, music and Vivaldi. Absolutely amazing:
A beautiful setting for beautiful music! It was pretty cold in the church so the supplied blankets were very welcome. I paid a little extra to sit up the front guaranteed somewhere in the first 9 rows which I would recommend as I had a great view of all the musicians ..... those sitting towards the back would have limited views although would still be able to enjoy the music.
Great way to take in some culture Vivaldi and arias were excellent - the alto tenor was spectacular, in a great location the church is very impressive from inside and out, and warm blankets were given out to keep us cosy, with a great Christmas market outside for before / after the best market we visited with more arts and crafts than elsewhere.
