The tour was well organised, the guide was brilliant, so helpful and knowledgeable. The only downside is it all feels a bit rushed, the timings of the buses to Edo Wonderland made it so that you could either enough time at one or the other, but not at both. We ended up getting the later bus to Edo, but then would have enjoyed an extra hour to experience there. Overall a great tour, and have to say again, brilliant guide.

The trip itself wasn't so bad but everything was so short u couldn't enjoy it. It started with a late start of about 45 min. That cut our visit in Nikko extremely short. Edo wonderland was interesting especially if you are going with children, there's plenty to do and only about 3hrs. All in all, it was an interesting experience with a bus trip and then going back in a regular train. I didn't like that i ended up in Asakusa which was about an hour of traveling time to my hotel in Shinjuku and i was with a 7 year old kid with a 13hrs jetlag, something to consider, you finish your trip at 9pm.

Amazing experience!! Nikko was one of the best places to visit in Tokyo. The tour was in a rush, so be prepared for sightseeing from one place to another in a flash... On the other side we spent around 3 hours in Edo Wonderland and it was so much fun! It is a little bit expensive because every activity over there was extra. The tour covers the entrance and some free shows worth it, but the rest of activities such as costumes, playing traditional Japanese instruments, writing with tint and the rest of handcraft activities were charged separately, so if you want to enjoy the full experience, take money.
Overall this is a tour were all family members can enjoy and take bunch of pictures! 3

I wish I had decided to do the second half of the Nikko tour instead of going to Edo Wonderland. For a solo adult traveler, Edo Wonderland was pretty boring. The morning, though, was really nice and our guide was amazing. Not only was she friendly, but she clearly knew what she was talking about and provided interesting historical context for what we saw.

This long tour was the best among our tours in Japan as Nagasaki, Kyoto, Ighasaki, Miyazaki and Tokushima offered by Diamond Princess cruise. The Nikko temple sightseeing was amazing as well as Edo Wonderland. However 3 hours in Edo Wonderland was too much for the activities shown. We suggest to increase more time in Nikko and less in Edo. It will be a perfect trip. Thanks

Very rushed tour .. got to see little of temples and shrines..quickly moved on to bus to edo wonderland (bus was in terrible shape, smelt like clutch as soon as we got on, the driver continued on and eventually broke down. We then had to walk to edo wonderland. Very limited sight seeing tour.

I spent the whole day but saw only some shrines I didn't get to climb the 200steps as our group was escorted to the bus pickup for Edo wonderland and therefore had a limited time and Edo wonderland but returned to my hotel at shinjuku around 9pm.

This trip is highly recommended. The Nikko National Park is stunning when we went but i can imagine how much more kiri beautiful it could get when autumn is in full bloom with all the foliage. Everything was great our tour guide Take was very knowledgeable. The Edo Wonderland is also a must visit the Ninja shows were great and the whole setup makes you feel like you were in the olden Edo days. We were also able to try activities like archery, ninja stars throwing, blow darts, etc. The only suggestion I would give is to make this trip earlier as we had super limited time for the Toshogu shrine due to traffic congestion and we had to hurry up to catch the Edo Wonderland bus. Maybe meeting directly in the terminal earlier is a better setup and leave at 8AM would suffice. Its just too beautiful and enjoyable that the additional 2-3 hours would have made it perfect!
