The trip was not like we expected. The guide pushed us to hurry up again and again. Thousands of people were there and it was just going ahead with the crowd. When we asked to take a while at a waterfall the guide just shake his head with the words no time.
The boat tour was just 1min crossing a lake. Not more.
And the bus driver tried to sell his oil to all passengers. Even at the dinner, he came to us and asked us in an unpolite way why we dont want to buy the oil. When we told him, that we dont like it he get angry with us. This is not how to enjoy an excursion.... for 170 by the way.
This was only stress. No time and no chance to relax this excursion for me or my girlfriend.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Our guide Igor was fabulous, very well-informed, friendly and spoke multiple languages fluently. The day was long but that was to be expected and it was also very busy in the park this day. However, all ran smoothly and our guide made the clever decision to slightly change up the way in which we navigated through the park in order to avoid the crowds as much as possible. We were very grateful for this as it allowed us to see most of the park in about 4 hours despite the crowds. The park is amazingly beautiful and I would definately recommend this tour.
Our tour was fantastic, not only was our guide deeply knowledgeable, as he was born in Croatia, he made the tour seem like a very interesting history lesson. The drive to the park was long, but there was always something interesting our guide would point out and the history behind the land. The park
My fiancée and I really enjoyed this 12 hours trip. It was totally worth it. We highly recommending this travel agency and this trip to Plitvice. However, if you want to enjoy this active leisure to the fullest, you need to be a bit prepared, because of the long drives back and forward and long walks in a very crowded Plitvice park. You should have a good footwear, comfortable close, some snacks, water and a good night sleep before the departure.
Firstly, it is a huge advantage that this travel agency can pick you up from a various locations in Split. Personally, we were taken from Radisson Blu Resort. This place were nearest from where we lived. The bus was quite good, conditioner worked perfectly very important, comfortable seats, spacious.
Marco did a really good job. I admired how he handled all the challenges he got during our trip that day. As a guide, he had a lot of interesting information about Croatia, Split city and Plitvice from geographical, historical and political point. It was very interesting to listen. He was friendly, always with a smile, knows how to interact whit people. The travel agency should be very happy and grateful to have him in their team.
In addition, we would like to say thank you for the bus driver that day. He did as well an excellent job.
Despite a rain drenched day, this visit with Mario and Tiho the most excellent and friendly coach driver was an excellent day trip choice. The lakes themselves are extraordinary but the scenery between Split and Plitvice was just as interesting. Mario's summary of recent Croation history was very informative. The optional meal after we left the National Park was a welcome opportunity to tide us over until we reached Split . Its a long day but well worth the effort. Highly recommended.
An excellent full day trip, leaving Split at 7:30am and returning at 8:00pm. Our driver, Andrew, was an excellent driver. Boran, our guide, filled us with stories and Croatian history throughout the day. He was amusing, cynical, organized and informative. Perfect way to see the park. All was on time and nicely done. Even the stop for late lunch, which we expected to be poor, was delicious. Overall excellent experience. Thank you, Boran, for all of the information you shared. Concrete!
The Lakes are gorgeous and the tour is arranged very well. It's a full day packed with fun. The guide, Mario, and the driver, Tijo, are incredibly friendly and funny. The bus itself is spacious and clean. You get to see some important landmarks, the Klis Fort, and the Velebit Mountains on your way there and with Mario narrating some interesting historical facts. Once at the venue, the walk itself is comfortable even though you are on foot for a couple of hours. The views of the different lakes in the park, the waterfalls, are breath-taking, and the colour of the water is exactly like in the pictures you see. It is good to wear comfortable walking shoes, take a very light jacket/sweatshirt to wear as the temperature is a few degrees lower than in general, and take some water and snacks. There is a stop for lunch at a restaurant with a set menu. I had the local fish dish and it was very good. The other people on the tour were also very friendly and we followed Mario's instructions, so we never got lost in the park. In all, this was a great experience and one of the highlights of my trip to Croatia this year.
