I would highly recommend this tour. We were picked up at the meeting spot on time by a gentleman who was not out tour guide the guide was stuck in traffic so we were picked up along with another couple and met our guide along the way so as not to have any delays. Great planning on their part. Our guide Norma was a wonderful young woman, very knowledgeable. The tour itself was great, Norma stopped at a local gas station outside the rainforest for a restroom break before the tour because the visitor center in the rainforest was destroyed by Hurricane Maria and is still being repaired. We stopped at a waterfall, a viewing tower and took a hike to a river. We were glad we used this tour instead of trying to navigate it ourselves.
Would definitely recommend.

First, we did not get to go on the half-tour as there were not enough people for the day we booked. We were upgraded to the El Yunque off the Beaten Path Waterfall Tour and paid the difference the day of to the tour guide, Roberto. Unfortunately, I cannot review that tour since I am only confirmed on Viator for this one however, I am so glad we upgraded to the full day tour, because this is/was one of the best experiences I've ever had with a tour!! This tour was more adventurous than what my friend and I were expecting. We definitely tested our fitness and strength as there was a lot of uphill and downhill trekking in muddy terrain. We were expecting to get dirty, just not expecting the amount of physical effort involved moderate to medium, which was in part due to the main entrance being closed and taking a short cut up to the falls.

Roberto, the tour guide was amazing. I felt very safe with both Roberto and the other tour guide we met at the top, Alex. Both ensured our safety during water activities and rocky terrain. I think they make a great team and work well together both clearly want to ensure a safe and fun experience for everyone involved. I absolutely recommend this tour for anyone looking to experience Puerto Rico and its beautiful rain forest!!

Despite the ongoing recovery of El Yunque, this trip turned out excellent because of our fantastic tour guide - Norma - and the amazing natural waterslides we visited at the end. A great way to spend half the day!

Louis was above amazing as a guide for he has taken the time to learn the history of Puerto Rico and interesting facts that a tourist wouldn't know about the island. Sadly most of the roads in El Yunque park were destroyed and currently closed, but we did see the mountain, waterfalls and had a lovely time.

We were picked up right at our hotel door and when our tour of the Forest was finished Louis took our group to a local grocery store so we could all purchase packaged local coffees to take home. The grocery store pricing for coffee is SO MUCH less expensive than at the gift shops or at the airport. The grocery store stop was a nice surprise and so appreciated.

Louis was wonderful - highly recommend touring the National Park with Louis.

This was a last minute booking and it was one of the highlights of our trip. Our guide was wonderful and so glad we did the whole day and not the half day experience. You wont be disappointed the scenery was breathtaking. Money and day well spent.

Absolutely wonderful trip. We were fortunate to have a very small group of 6 our family of 4, and a newlywed couple and a truly phenomenal guide, Omar Rodriguez. Omar was knowledgeable, upbeat, organized, and had a wealth of knowledge about all of the various fauna as well as the history of the area. He was accommodating to our needs, and let us go at our own pace, and because our group was small I felt like we received very individualized attention. The hike through the rainforest was amazing. It was a short mile in, mile out and easy hike followed by spending some time at the observation tower, viewing two beautiful waterfalls, and then a visit to a very interactive and informative visitor center. After about 5 hours in the rainforest, Omar took us to a small restaurant for lunch were we had some of the best and least expensive food during our stay. Absolutely amazing excursion that was informative, fun, and gave us all a really good introduction to the rainforest.

I wish I could give this zero stars. I never even went on the trip because when I showed up, the tour guide was incredibly rude about the way I was dressed closed sandals and a summer dress. I know it is suggested to wear comfortable clothes and for me, that is comfort, so it should not matter to anyone else. He said to me, You're too fancy. You do know we are going to the RAINforest, right? RAAIIINNN made raining motion and said loud and slowly like I was some kind of idiot. I said that yes, I was aware of the trip I booked and that I have been in a rainforest before, so I know what to expect. He offered to take me somewhere to buy appropriate clothes and I declined because I did not want to hold up the tour nor did I want to spend money on things I did not need or would wear again. His response was that I was the superstar of the trip and that he'd miss me. It was very inappropriate and I do not appreciate being singled out and put on the spot in a group of people. It was infuriating and a complete waste of 65, since the tour sales are final. I was offered to re-schedule for the next day, but I was so disgusted, I didn't even want to bother. Plus, I did not want to run the risk of having that same tour guide. I have had good luck with Viator in other locations, but whatever company they are using for these tours...NEVER AGAIN. Also, prior to the trip, my pick-up location was bounced around 3 times and I had to call repeatedly to re-confirm the booking and find out what was going on. It was like pulling teeth to get any straight info.

El Yunque National Forest was wonderful to visit. The hike was not difficult. Our guide, Alex, was very knowledgeable an accommodating.
