Safaritour Monkeyland und Plantage, ab Punta Cana

Wenn es möglich wäre, hätten wir auch 6 Sterne vergeben. Der Trip hat uns sehr gut gefallen und war das Highlight in unserem Urlaub. Von der Abholung an der Hotellobby bis zur Rückreise hat alles gut geklappt. Vor allem das Fahren in den offenen Trucks durch den Dschungel mit atemberaubenden Panorma und angenehmen Fahrtwind hat uns positiv überrascht. Das Erlebnis mit den kleinen Äffchen war unvergesslich und auf jeden Fall einen Ausflug Wert! Die Zeit im Gehege verging leider wie im Flug aber war wie angegeben um die 45 Minuten. Anschließend wurden uns die Kaffee- und Kakao Plantagen gezeigt und wir durften diesen probieren. Die Reiseführer waren sehr freundlich. Im Monkeyland wurde uns sogar alles auf deutsch erklärt.

Die Safaritour ins Monkeyland war für uns ein tolles Erlebnis. Wir hatten zwar eine deutschsprachige Tour gebucht, aber Manuel unser Guide sprach langsam und deutlich Englisch so das wir ihn gut verstanden haben. Es ging mit einen Safaribus in die Berge in unwegsames Gelände, so hatten wir einen guten Einblick in die Pflanzenwelt der Insel. Angekommen im Monkeyland gabs erst eine botanische Führung und danach einen Rundgang in kleinen Gruppen durch das Gehege. Die Affen leben hier in einer grossen Freiluftanlage sehr naturnah untergebracht. Jeder bekam eine Futterschale, so hatte man hautnahen Kontakt mit den Affen. Anschliesend ging es dann noch auf eine sehr naturnahe Farm, wo die Herstellung von Kaffee und Kakao in Handwerksarbeit vorgeführt wurde. Vom Kakao und den tropischen Früchten konnte gekostet werden. Eine Besichtigung der Farm und des traditionellen dominikanischen Hauses von der Besitzerin Maria war möglich. Im Anschluss verkaufte Maria noch zu fairen Preisen biologische Produkte wie Kaffee, Kakao, Vanille und den karibischen Heilschnaps Mamajuana. Ein gelungener und entspannter Halbtagesausflug. Für uns als Gartenbesitzer und Naturliebhaber besonders interessant.

My three teenage boys and I went on this adventure. Not one of us was disappointed! We loved the time we spent with the monkeys. Every person on the tour was able to experience these amazing little monkeys dropping on their head, crawling on their arms, and snuggling on their faces. One layer right on my son's head to eat it's sweet treat. Excellent time and would recommend to all families. The plantation tour was fun, we learned about coffee bean and cocoa processing. Definitely worth the money spent! Book through Viator! Tried to book with other tour guide online and had nothing but hassles!

Monkeyland was the highlight of our trip. We enjoyed seeing the countryside and learn more about the culture of Dominicana. The monkeys were absolutely amazing and friendly, it was an exciting adventure. Philip and PJ were wonderful tour guides. PJ was hysterically funny and great with everyone. Philip obviously cares greatly about the monkeys and takes good care of them. The habitat was a wonderful place for the monkeys to thrive.

We had such an amazing time feeding the monkeys and visiting Annas house. We were able to see breathtaking views of the mountains and see the crew roast cocoa beans and coffee beans and sample some coffe and hot chocolate from thier harvest. Im not gonna lie, my mom was the one that wanted to do this tour and we thought it was going to be cheesy but this was one of most favorite days in DR! Thank you to the crew for a wonderful experience!

Great trip! Monkeys are very friendly. Even my wife, who first thought she would be spooked thought it was fun when they scampered over your head from one person to the next. The monkey's faces look like little humans.
The open air truck ride thorough the country side was pleasant. One of the better roads the we traveled in the D.R.

We had an amazing time at Monkeyland. We got to feed and pet the monkeys.

This was one of the highlights of our trip. pickup was prompt. Ride to location was fun and interesting. And the monkeys were incredible and adorable. Highly recommend.

This was a great trip!! We were picked up promptly from our resort and headed off! Because of the language barrier, we weren't completely certain where we were off to or what was next, but we met up with other buses from Bavaro Runners in the parking lot of a gas station. As a side note, the restroom of this station was the cleanest gas station restroom I've ever seen!
We traded buses and headed up the mountain. The views were so beautiful that I would have been completely satisfied just driving around. We were entertained by our tour guide PJ. He was full of energy and made the trip really fun!

When we arrived at Monkeyland, it felt like we were at a tropical paradise. I had never seen palm trees on a mountain before, so I was amazed! We divided up into groups and went into the Monkeyland enclosure. It didn't take long before they were bouncing all over all of us. We were each given a dish of fruit and the spider monkeys went crazy! We took so many photos.

After Monkeyland, we went over to the plantation and learned about chocolate, coffee and coconuts, along with the way that people live in the Dominican Republic. It was a nice learning opportunity and I left very glad that I had done some things away from the resort and learned more about this country and culture.

Nice sight seeings on the road , interesting and pleasant experience with the Squirel Monkeys and their trainer our guide Philip , another interesting experience with the other guide really sorry because I forgot his name who told us everything about the village people there and all the information about their way of living and their plantations coffee / cocoa / coconut ...
