I would highly recommend this tea ceremony experience. Maiyumi was an excellent tea master! She was very knowledgeable and experienced and carried out the rituals of the tea ceremony with practised grace and ease. I loved choosing my kimono. It was absolutely stunning and I felt very privileged to have the chance to wear one. The decoration in the tea room is beautiful, too. The staff here are gracious and welcoming. I have already recommended this to several friends planning trips to Japan.
Hi we enjoyed this trip and enjoyed dressing up . The setting and staff were lovely and friendly . It was meant to last 2 hours and we were finish in little over an hour . It was not very good value for money . More explanation about the history of the tea ceremony or Japanese culture would be good
The experience was flawless and all the staff members made me feel as if I was participating in a very special event. I had to take off my shoes to enter this big house in which every floor has a unique atmosphere. Entering a Japanese style house made me feel very special. After I was greeted by a staff member in kimono our guide came over and kneeled in front of us before she introduced her self. The tea ceremony was unlike any other thing I have done in Japan, it was like half meditation and half cultural workshop led by a local master. We had to be quiet and carefully observe the master to learn how to prepare matcha on our own and drink the way Japanese people do. I always wanted to try kimono so it was great that I could wear kimono for the whole time. They allowed me to take many pictures and also sent me the pictures taken by a high resolution camera after I got back. I was also lucky that the staff answered all of my questions about what to do in Osaka. I made new friends and left the place with wonderful memories. I highy recommend this experience to everybody.
