Jederzeit wieder!!

Its ok. But I see photos from other swamp tours who was more interesting baby-Alligators as ship 1 hour in a bayou and make photos from the landscape and a few Alligators in the distance.

On day two in New Orleans we took this tour. It was probably one of the best days we spent in New Orleans. Gisele was our tour guide and she was full of wonderful information. We did our swamp tour first where we got to see several alligators. We then headed to Oak Alley plantation where we had an amazing lunch followed by a tour of a beautiful French plantation. We then headed to Laura plantation which is a authentic Creole plantation not far down the road. Both plantations were like night and day from each other. Gisele gave us so much information about Ariel landmarks and even showed us some other plantations on the drive back into town. Overall I totally recommend this trip. It was money well worth spent.

Billy was our tour guide and a top notch tour guide he is! Swamp Boat Adventure was beautiful and informative about the wildlife, history and life in the bayou. Many visits by alligators looking for their marshmallows. Also cranes and a huge bullfrog. Beautiful, antique drawbridge at the beginning of the tour. Oak Alley was amazing. After a lifetime, I finally got to see and get a picture of a Southern Magnolia tree in bloom! The Cajun lunch buffet was beyond expectations! A good sampling of numerous Cajun foods unknown to us New Englanders. Laura Plantation was fascinating--especially the construction. We had some history of the residence from the Sinister Criminal Intentions Tour we took on the evening we arrived. We all learned a lot about plantation life and life in the South. Thank you for such a great tour!

Loved the boat tour, only our small group in the boat and the guide was very interesting and knowledgeable. Both plantations were gorgeous. Lunch was good, but it is a set menu. We were not fond of our driver, Johnny, he was a pretty aggressive driver and a bit rude when he was gathering our group at each location.

First off, Tours by Isabelle is basically a tour organizer, meaning, this company will organize transport and contract outside tour vendors and consolidating it into a day's worth of tours. This is important to understand since I am reviewing both the company itself and its tours it contracted. We had a guide that stayed with us the whole day and was also our driver employed by Tours by Isabelle. The first stop was the swamp tour which was run by another company not sure what the company was and we had a guide from that company take us on the airboat. Second stop was Oak Valley plantation led by their own guide again followed by lunch at the plantation. Last stop was Laurel Plantation their in-house guide was the best of the three. Trip ended and I was back at my hotel at around 5:30pm.

Transportation: Comfortable, clean van. No complaints here. 5/5

Our Guide By Tours by Isabelle: He was okay. He was knowledgable but not exactly captivating information. He would just drop facts here and there but without much thought or theme to it so the experience was not amazing. His driving was safe and he was nice overall 2/5.

Swamp Tour: Our guide was nice and friendly. The information was good and solid. It was raining so the experience was not as good as it could have been but they can't help that. Overall 4/5

Oak Valley: The guide just listed off info and the tour itself was only about 30 minutes long. The food was solid. Overall 4/5

Laurel Plantation: The guide here was very good Kyle and he provided a very good tour. Overall 5/5

The total tour itself was well organized and despite the rain everything ran on time and they seemed like they had a lot of contingency plans. So Tours by Isabelle gets 3/5 overall.

This was a fantastic way to see some history and nature just outside New Orleans. Our guide was wonderful, and we got to see Alligators right off the side of the boat. The plantations are beautiful, but a sobering reminder of our country's history. It was a wonderful way to spend a little time outside of busy New Orleans, and is a great addition to any trip to the Big Easy!
