Führung in Ordnung. Vor allem an and quot;ohne Warteschlangen and quot;.
This is the greatest scam of all. First, it is a long line to get in. You are not allowed to take pictures. I expected to find memorabilia of the Royal Family, e.g., pictures when they were young, rooms they used, toys, clothes, etc. It's like being conned into going to an art museum that does not even have any original masterpiece to show. The art pieces are from Prince Charles' collection of unknown artists that he supports. For the love of God and all that is Holy, people, do not go inside. You might as well go to the Louvre, Brisitish Museum, Prada in Spain, the Duomo in Florence or the Vatican for that matter!!!!
So the first thing to mention is to avoid this tour during late summer months when temperatures get too hot. Both Windsor Castle and Buckingham Palace have few places with ac so it gets hot. The places themselves are pretty awesome. We saw Windsor Castle first. We met at the bus terminal which was pretty chaotic but they got everyone on the buses. We had a double decker bus and it was fun to sit on the top on our way out and back to the castle. We booked through viator but the actual tour is through premium tours. Our guide had a lot of cool information on the trip in the bus. It should be noted that in Windsor Castle and Buckingham Palace they dont allow guided tours. This means the tour guide gets you in, then you take a self guided audio tour. It's pretty easy to operate if you're tech savvy but my mother struggled to get the audio guide to work for her and eventually gave up. Also note that once you get into Windsor Castle it's about time for the changing of the guards. If you want to watch that you wont have time for the audio portion of the self guided tour. You get into the Castle about 1030, the changing of the guard is at 11-1130, the audio tour takes about an hour and a half and you have have to be back at the bus by 1. There are many other things to look at in Windsor as well including a chapel. I would suggest packing a small lunch to eat on the bus ride from Windsor to Buckingham Palace to avoid having to stop for lunch. Your tour ends at Buckingham Palace once your guide gets you in. Again its audio tours through the Palace but this time you can go at your own pace.
With my love of all things Royal imagine my delight when I discovered that Buckingham Palace was to be open whilst we were in the UK and that it was doubled up with Windsor was just the icing on the cake. Nothing I can say will convey the absolute brilliance of walking through the oldest inhabited Royal Palace in the world or the main London residence of Her Majesty. Windsor was incredible and to try and describe it would be pointless but I will say that the ice cream there was the best I have ever had. Similarly Buckingham Palace is simply breathtaking my only disappointment was that you couldn't take photos inside, which is understandable, but even that couldn't dampen the absolute thrill I got from being there. If you get the chance to see both then don't miss it. Bath in the glory of two of the most beautiful palaces/castles in the world.
Loved Windsor Palace and the town. Buckingham Palace was amazing and very happy to be in London when the Queen wasn't! My only criticism of this tour was the lack of communication by the tour guides. We were told to be at the bus by 12:30pm after visiting Windsor Castle. Therefore, most of us took precious time to eat lunch because we knew Buckingham would be next. When we arrived at Buckingham, the guide said we had 1 hour to eat lunch before our tour. That was 1 hour we could have used at Windsor Castle instead of eating. We were not able to finish seeing Windsor Castle and that was extremely disturbing. In addition, the guide took us to Buckingham, gave us our tickets, and left. She never said that we were on our own after that. Of course, we figured it out but customer service was lacking on this particular tour.
