You see incredible sights on this excursion. They are really worth while. A highlight for us was the view and exhibition centre right before Troll's Ladder. We had a very knowledgeable and upbeat guide, who was great. Some of the stops near the end could've been skipped, and the bus needed wifi, but other than that, we really enjoyed the experience.

Monica was a fantastic guide while in Ålesund. She had a lot of information to give us along the way and was a delight. I highly recommend this trip to anyone visiting, and be sure to ask for Monica!!

We recently took this tour while on a cruise in Northern Europe and it was worth every penny. It was well paced with lots of stops to enjoy the stunning mountain and fjord scenery in Norway, including the harrowing Troll's Road, deftly conquered by our very capable bus driver. Our guide was full of facts and stories about Norway, including plenty of myths and legends to keep us informed and entertained. She even had the bus driver pull over at a strawberry stand so that she could dash out and buy strawberries which she passed around for us all to share and they were every bit as delicious as described. We were also lucky to get back to Alesund a little bit early and, since it was raining, they gave us a quick driving tour of the town before dropping us off at the pier for all aboard our ship. My husband and I had a great time and both found this tour to be a highlight of our trip. Oh! And the lunch was good too, particularly the waffle dessert and my husband loved the fresh salmon.

Wow! All I can say is that this tour was the highlight of our trip to Norway. We were met promptly at the cruise ship dock by Dorothy, our wonderful tour guide, and loaded onto a bus. There were only 21 of us, compared to the ship's excursion tours that were jam packed. We were whisked away towards the famous Troll Road ahead of the other tour busses, and had wonderful views of the fjords, the farmland we were fortunate enough to be there during STRAWBERRY season!, and the mountain scenery. Dorothy purchased some local fruit for us to sample at our first stop at the waterfalls and kettle holes. At the top of the troll road, sheep blocked our path by laying down in the road: a great unexpected photo opportunity! At the Troll Road Visitor Center, we enjoyed the lovely architecture of the building and reflecting pools, before heading out to the viewing platforms overlooking the famous 11 hairpin turns down into the opposite valley. Be sure to go out to the farthest platform. Then, our driver carefully negotiated the hairpin turns past thundering waterfalls each one is named, to our lunch stop. The buffet was very good, and there was ample time for souvenir shopping. If you are looking for a troll souvenir, this is your place! The, on to the Troll Wall, where once again, words cannot describe the incredible beauty. We were fortunate that the weather mostly cooperated. Dress warmly for the top of the pass hats, gloves, hoodies, etc. It was blustery.

We really enjoyed the Fjord to Trolls tour! Our guide was excellent and provided us with a lot of information. Since it was strawberry season, the bus driver stopped and both the driver and the guide got out and bought some fresh strawberries from a roadside stand for all of us to try.

We understand that there is often fog in the area, so the view from the lookout at the top of the Trollstiegen is often blocked, however, our guide noticed that the view might be open when we got there and he sent us straight to the best lookout spot. We were fortunate to see the waterfall and the windy road below, just before the fog moved in. Please be aware that it can be rainy in Norway, so bring some raingear.

This tour was great and certainly a lot cheaper than had we booked a similar tour through our cruise ship. My husband and I would highly recommend this tour.

We were delighted with the small number of other people in our Mercedes mini bus, which enabled a very personalised tour by our guide Monica, which was most professional and enjoyable. Alesund, a UNESCO site and surrounding areas is a delightful place providing one with many superb photographic opportunities.
