Our guide was great - very informative. Learned the culture of the city.

Had a great day. We were a small group which was ideal. Our guide certainly knew his stuff and told us all we needed to know and more. Plenty of free time in Salzburg. All in all an excellent trip and well worth the money.

My wife and I were staying for a couple of days in Munich and decided to take the day trip to Salzburg. It's just under a two hour train ride from the Munich Hauptbahnhof and was definitely well worth it! Salzburg is really beautiful and we feel a must see for everyone in the area. Our tour guide an American man now living in Munich was very knowledgeable and outgoing. He was the most prepared guide we've ever had and we've taken quite a few tours over the past few years throughout the world! Throughout the train ride to Salzburg, he spent most of the time talking to us about the history of Salzburg, where we would go as a group, and places he truly recommended us to visit on our own pace. After he oriented us with the city once we got there, we had no problems venturing out on our own exploring this beautiful city. Through no fault of the tour guide, I will say you don't have too much time to explore if you stop for a bite to eat which my wife and I did as we truly wanted to experience some local cuisine. We still got to see though most places we planned on even with the 40 minutes spent at a very nice little restaurant. This just reminded us that sometime we'll have to come back and spend a whole day and night at this beautiful city! We definitely give this tour a two thumbs up!

This tour was well worth the time and money. The guide was very informative and knowledgeable.This is our second time to use Viator and the quality of service we have recieved both times has been great!

Totally enjoyable. It was a good balance between being escorted and having time on your own. Salzburg is beautiful!

Great day trip. Allows you to see highlights of the city and make it back in time for dinner in Munich.

While I was surprised that Viator was only a booking agent.... the company thy booked the tour with was outstanding. Our guide was great. The visit was amazing. There was time for "touring" and time to be off on your own. The train ride was great AND a lovely introduction to the system in Munich for reference.

The trip was very well organized, we have time on our own and the guide was very well informed and helpfull. As a remark maybe an early departure from Munich would be advisable, because we missed to see the Castle's Tower because of the time left.
